About Us
Cayuga Farm is a community of forty-five (45) homes situated in beautiful Severn, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Our neighborhood is located off Route 97 making it convenient to Baltimore, Annapolis, and Washington, DC. And we are within 15 minutes of Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and the two Amtrak/MARC train stations connecting you to the rest of the U.S. world.
History of Our Community
Before our community was developed, the land was the home of the John and Anna Malinowski Farm and Apple Orchard. Around 2002, Sturbridge Homes began developing the land into lots and building single-family homes wrapped around one loop with a single entry/exit road located off of New Cut Road. New sections were sold in groups until all construction was completed around 2006.
The original buyers were mostly families with children who have since grown to young men and women. There have been many changes of home ownership over the years, but several original homeowners are still living here. Our quiet community hosts and welcomes residents of all ages and diversity of backgrounds. Each year we usually have one formal meeting, a community picnic/block party, and several events for the children.
About the Board
The Cayuga Farm Homeowners Association (CFHOA) is managed by a Board of Directors who have been elected by their fellow residents to act on the residents’ behalf on community matters. The Board must have at least three members, and may have up to five, each with staggered 3-year terms.
Each year, the Board selects among itself a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and/or Secretary.
Note
Each lot/homeowner is a member of the Cayuga Farm Homeowners Association, Inc. (CFHOA) with all the rights and responsibilities related thereto.
